September 21 is Zero Emissions Day.

Bottaro implements green solutions to help safeguard the planet.

September 21 celebrates Zero Emissions Day, an important date to reflect on the impact of our activities on climate change and to promote concrete actions aimed at reducing carbon emissions. This day, also known as ZeDay, was established in 2008 with the goal of giving the planet a break from emissions and raising awareness among citizens, industries, and governments.

Bottaro has long been committed to this path, adopting significant measures to reduce both direct and indirect emissions.

The installation of 15,000 square meters of photovoltaic panels, for example, prevents the emission of 133,170 kg of CO2 per year. Additionally, the use of battery-powered forklifts at the Novate Milanese and Delebio plants represents a further step towards more sustainable logistics.

Indirect emissions are decisively addressed through the careful selection of suppliers who share values and production standards based on the principles of the circular economy, attention to the environment, and people. An example is the use of recycled and recyclable packaging and biodegradable inks, contributing to an increasingly environmentally friendly production cycle.

These initiatives reflect Bottaro’s values and its constant commitment to a sustainable production chain, in line with the goals of Zero Emissions Day.
