Sustainability: an urgent business need.
World Energy Saving Day.
On the occasion of the World Day for Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles, Bottaro renews its commitment to an increasingly green and conscious production chain, in which there is a tight control of waste in all operational phases.
A commitment that, as he has demonstrated and described several times ( even in one of the last articles on his blog), is a concrete and daily reality.
Sustainability for Bottaro takes shape through the use of clean energy from solar panels, the use of an ecological and recyclable lubricant for the drawing process, the lighting of the factories with LED lights, the application of inverters to reduce consumption, the choice of latest-generation electric forklifts, the choice of recycled and recyclable packaging, the abolition of paper consumption in the offices, the optimisation of travel and business trips with an increase in digital technology.
On this day, President Alberto Bottaro emphasised the responsibility of entrepreneurs in this ecological transition:
“Sustainability is a very complex issue that requires an in-depth analysis of every single aspect of a company’s entire production chain. To do this – and do it well – it is important to have a global vision of all the resources involved in the process, from raw materials to plants, from energy used to people.
This activity is a duty and a priority for us entrepreneurs, who are responsible for making choices that will then have consequences for the environment and the people who live in it.
Just a few days ago, the constitutional law reform bill was approved, adding a paragraph dedicated to the protection of the environment, biodiversity and ecosystems to the main principles of the Italian Constitution. This is a historical change, because the environment will from now on be considered a primary value, the protection of which will be of key importance not only for the present time but also as a value to be handed down to future generations.
This is an historic step forward, which I hope will translate into a change in the culture and mindset of all of us, entrepreneurs and individuals alike.”
